is a prescription medication used to treat frequent heartburn in adults over 18 years of age. It is a combination of two active ingredients: Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate and NEXIUM. It works by inhibiting the acid pumps that produce the stomach acid, leading to a reduction in the amount of stomach acid that normally remains in the stomach. This helps to lower symptoms such as heartburn and to reduce the frequency of heartburn in the future. Nexium Control is a prescription medication that provides relief from frequent heartburn by reducing stomach acid production.
Nexium Control is available in tablet form and is taken orally once a day. It is important to follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage and schedule when taking Nexium Control. Taking Nexium Control with food may delay the onset of action by reducing stomach acid production. Taking Nexium Control with food does not affect the effectiveness of the medication.
Nexium Control should be taken once a day. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it. Take the tablet at the same time each day. Continue to take Nexium Control as directed by your doctor. Do not stop taking Nexium Control without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well. Taking the medication for more than a few days can have serious health consequences.
